High School Playoffs pushed back a Week

Historic flooding postponed several high school football games forcing the South Carolina High School League this week to push the playoffs and championship games back a week. The league announces that playoffs for Class A, Class AA and Class AAA will begin Nov. 13, a week later than planned. The Class AAAA playoffs will start Nov. 20, also a week later. That means the state championship games in Class A will be on Dec. 4. The Class AA title game is Dec. 5. The Class AAA and Class AAAA championship games will take place on Dec. 12. This is the first time since Hurricane Hugo in 1989 that the high school playoffs in South Carolina have been pushed back.
