Holly Smoke BBQ Festival set for Saturday

St. John’s Lutheran Church will be hosting their first Holly Smoke BBQ Festival on Saturday, Sept 30, 2017, serving award-winning fresh smoked pork donated by Tina and Terry Stephens of Iron Pig BBQ. Come join in a fun-filled day including activities for all ages, live music by Carmel Ridge, yard sale, homemade crafts, and bake sale. Children can visit with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and the Walhalla Fire Department. There will also be face painting and balloons. It takes place at 301 West Main Street in Walhalla on Saturday from 11am to 2pm. Tickets for a BBQ plate with fresh pulled pork and all the fixings is $8.50. The yard sale is planned for 8am to 2pm. All proceeds go towards building repairs for St. John’s Lutheran Church.
