Home Depot Safety Day this Saturday

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will be participating this Saturday in the “Home Depot Safety Day” at the Home Depot location on Highway 123 at Sheep Farm Road in Seneca. The event will last from 9am until noon.  The Safety Day is held the first Saturday in October at the Seneca Home Depot location.  It is free and open to the public. Part of the activities of the event will be a kid’s workshop, in which children will have a chance to work on wood project, which will be a fire and rescue plane.  All the materials will be provided, including a wood kit and paint.  Children who participate will receive a Home Depot apron, a certificate of completion, and an achievement pin. There is a kid’s workshop that is held the first Saturday of each month.  Other law enforcement and public safety agencies will be participating as well, with an emphasis on a particular area of safety.  There will also be plenty of giveaways as well, including stickers and pencils.
