Hospice of the Foothills Christmas Tree Festival

The 10th Anniversary Hospice of the Foothills Christmas Tree Festival is this week at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Bountyland Road in Seneca.  Oconee Medical Center Foundation executive director Cortni Nations gives details.  “Beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and swags will be on display at the church all week beginning on Tuesday, December 3.  We have handmade crafts that you cab buy.  We have coffees you can buy, butter braids, cookies and anything you can imagine associated with Christmas we have it there at the church.”  The Christmas Tree Festival is organized annually by volunteers who are passionate in their support of Oconee Hospice of the Foothills. Since inception, the Hospice of the Foothills Christmas Tree Festivals have raised more than $740,000.  Nations tells more about the festival.  “The Christmas Tree Festival is a major fundraiser for our Hospice program.  Our community looks forward to this event every year and welcomes the opportunity to support the great services Hospice provides.  This year’s festival raises funds for the Crippen Endowment for Hospice which will ensure the sustainability of the Hospice program in perpetuity.” Oconee Hospice of the Foothills is a not-for-profit program that operates the Cottingham Hospice House and a home-care program. Serving Oconee, Pickens, and Anderson counties since 1989, Oconee Hospice of the Foothills provides compassionate care to terminally ill patients and supports bereavement services for their loved ones.
