House fire in Anderson

The Anderson Fire Department reported that a house fire occurred overnight on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to three individuals. The department received a call about a house fire on Brown Street just after 1:30 a.m. During their response, they were informed that several occupants were missing.

Upon arrival, the crews faced heavy smoke and fire throughout the main level of the house. After successfully extinguishing the fire, the rescue team entered the house through a window at the rear. They managed to rescue one adult and two children, all of whom were subsequently transported to Prisma-Greenville Hospital for medical attention. It was also noted that two other adults were in the house at the time of the fire but managed to escape without any injuries.

The American Red Cross is currently providing assistance to the affected occupants. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Anderson Fire & Police Departments, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and the South Carolina State Fire Marshal’s Office.
