Howard’s Rock Case damaged at Clemson University

The Clemson University Athletic Department reports that the case holding Howard’s Rock was damaged early Wednesday morning. Fortunately, the iconic rock that football players rub before home games at Clemson Memorial Stadium was not damaged; only the case. Officials said that the damage was the result of vandalism. Howard’s Rock and its pedestal were removed Wednesday afternoon from the west end zone of the stadium. Clemson University Police are investigating the vandalism and anyone with information should call 864-656-2222.
