Hudson’s winless streak extends to seven

Atlanta ace Tim Hudson had no reason to be ashamed of the determined effort he produced for the Braves during Tuesday night’s 3-2 loss to the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. After allowing one run in each of the first three innings, he proved dominant over the course of the next 4 1/3. Nevertheless, he ended up on the wrong side of a pitcher’s duel against Andrew Cashner. The big right-hander allowed just two runs in a career-high eight innings. Hudson’s winless streak extends to seven with the loss.  On the positive side, the Braves have a seven-game lead over the Washington Nationals in the National League East race. The Atlanta Braves are now 39-26 on the season.  Catch all the exciting action of Atlanta Braves baseball here on WSNW.
