Inabinet named Unofficial Winner

Round one goes to Inabinet.  By a mere 35 votes, Andy Inabinet claimed Seat 3 on the Oconee County Council.  According to the unofficial results from Tuesday’s special election, Inabinet received 444 to Paul Cain’s 409 votes.  Results are unofficial until the Oconee County Elections Commission canvasses the ballots on Thursday. Tuesday’s special election decided who would fill the remaining months of the late Councilman Archie Barron’s term.  Inabinet and Cain meet again at the polls in the June regular primary.  The winner there receives the Republican nomination for the November General Election.  Round two decides who will serve District 3 on the Oconee County Council for the next four-years.
