Inclement Weather Causes Delayed Start for Oconee County Offices

(Walhalla, SC) – On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Oconee County government offices and facilities will be closed until 12:00 PM due to inclement weather.
According to the latest National Weather Service forecast, below freezing temperatures in the Upstate are anticipated overnight January 17, 2022, creating hazardous road conditions throughout Oconee County. For the safety of citizens and staff, Oconee County will delay opening until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
All jurors scheduled to report to the Oconee County Courthouse have been released for the week, according to Clerk of Court Lisa Burton.
