Info about the Sex Offender Registry and Halloween

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is educating the community about the Sex Offender Registry and Halloween. Jimmy Watt, Public Information Officer with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, gives details. “Sargent Kelly Winchester, who is the Sex Offender Registrar for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, I got her comments and when these questions arise, obviously we want the right information to be available to those we serve. So, I would encourage everybody to go www.oconeelaw.com, read this press release and be better informed about what the law says regarding this issue.” Probation requires people on the Sex Offender Registry to stay at home from 5:30pm until 9pm on Halloween and Probation Officers will check on them.
