Investigation underway into Clemson Shooting

An attempted murder investigation is underway by the Clemson City Police Department after a bullet struck a teen early Sunday morning. Clemson City Police Chief Jimmy Dixon reports the incident happened at the Cookout on Tiger Boulevard around 2am. The victim was leaving the restaurant with friends when shots were fired from somewhere in the area. One bullet entered the rear passenger door of the vehicle where the victim was sitting and struck their leg. The victim was taken to the hospital and released with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim is not affiliated with Clemson University.
