Joint Investigation leads to Drug Arrest

Through a joint investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency, a man with ties to Oconee County has been jailed on drug charges.  According to warrants, 48-year-old Heraclio Perez was indicted in U.S. District Court in Atlanta on charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, with the said conspiracy involving at least 5 kilograms of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.  According to investigators, Perez was arrested on July 25th in Anderson County and was transported to Atlanta the same day. Perez has two listed addresses in the Upstate, 307 Pitchford Street in Walhalla and 100 Bradberry Road in Townville.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency continue their investigation in the case.
