Jordan Resigns from Walhalla City Council

Tyler Jordan, a Walhalla councilman in his first term, announced his resignation Monday. He cited career and family reasons for his decision. Jordan expressed his hope that the city would keep progressing and did not exclude a possible comeback to politics later. His vacant seat on the Walhalla council will be one of the many issues that the county elections office will have to deal with this year. 2023 is a year of elections for all five municipalities in Oconee County. The candidates for the various mayoral and council positions will have to register in August, and the non-partisan elections will take place in November.
