Journey of Hope comes to Clemson on Tuesday

The Journey of Hope will arrive at the Clemson Outdoor Lab at 3pm on Tuesday for a friendship visit after 85 miles of cycling. The Clemson Outdoor Lab leads a number of residential camps for children, youth and adults. Many are designed specifically for those with disabilities. Journey of Hope will cycle an average of 75 miles a day for people with disabilities. The team will enhance the lives of countless individuals with disabilities through grant funding and community events. The Journey of Hope, organized by Push America, is a cycling trek that raises funds and awareness on behalf of people with disabilities. Every cyclist commits to raising at least $5,500 on behalf of people with disabilities. Combine their individual efforts with corporate sponsorships and the Journey of Hope 2014 team will raise more than $500,000 for people with disabilities. The team will depart for the Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg at 6:30am the next morning.
