Jury Finds in Favor of Plaintiff in Oconee Common Pleas Court

A jury rendered a verdict in favor of the plaintiff at the Oconee Court of Common Pleas Tuesday afternoon. Volunteer firefighter Timothy Alan Murphy sought damages for injuries he sustained in 2019 while directing traffic on Old Clemson Highway in his capacity as a fire fighter, when he was hit by a car.

In court, he alleged that the driver, Tammy Marie Savel, was negligent, among other grounds, for failure to control her vehicle. Jury foreperson Wendy Golten reported the outcome following their dismissal…
