Jury finds Mosley guilty of killing Clemson Student

On Wednesday, a Pickens County jury found Lester Mosley Jr. guilty of murder in the 2012 shooting death of a Clemson University student. On Dec. 8, 2012, Mosley and three other men forcible entered a home on Chimney Ridge looking for drugs. During the home invasion and attempted robbery, Mosley fatally shot 23-year-old Steven Grich. On Tuesday, the state called Jaron Dalton, Jordan Dalton and Bernard Ramsey to the stand and each testified that Mosley shot Grich, even though they were looking for his roommate. Mosley was found guilty of murder, first-degree burglary, two counts of attempted armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison. The Daltons and Ramsey pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and each is to be sentenced after Mosley’s trial.
