Large Oak Tree falls on Fairplay Street in Seneca

An old oak tree was blown down onto a house Friday evening in Seneca, tells Fire Chief Jan Oliver. “Friday afternoon, we received a call of a tree on a house at 215 South Fairplay Street. When units arrived, we found an oak tree that the high winds that came through here had pushed over on top of a two-story house. The trunk of the tree at its widest point was eight feet in diameter. it’s a huge tree.” Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Crews worked through Monday to remove the tree from the house on South Fairplay Street.
