As part of ongoing construction of the new Seneca Middle School, starting Monday, February 20th, Jamesway Drive will no longer connect Dalton Road to Wells Highway. The portion of Jamesway Drive connecting to Wells Highway will remain in place as part of the driveway for the new Seneca Middle School.  The portion of Jamesway connecting to Dalton Road will remain and will end in a cul-de-sac after road construction is completed.  This change was requested by the City of Seneca after consultation with the Dalton Bend neighborhood. Entrance to the Dalton Bend subdivision will be via the entrance on West South 4th Street.

Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland reminded everyone of an information meeting 6:30 to 8:00pm Thursday night in the Seneca Middle School gym. The Oconee School Board of Trustees will decide what becomes of the WS 4th Street extension building and complex. It appears it’s going to come down to The Dream Center, an Easley faith-based non-profit, and the City of Seneca, which has its eyes on the property for recreation expansion. The Dream Center is hosting Thursday’s meeting, and by coincidence, Dr. Thorsland said the trustees are scheduled to be out of town starting Thursday for training, and will not be in attendance…
