LAW ENFORCEMENT AND EMERGENCY SERVICES TO CONDUCT TRAINING EXCERCISE AT D.W. DANIEL HIGH SCHOOL

Central, South Carolina – A large-scale training exercise will be held at D.W. Daniel High School on March 13th, 2023, beginning at 8:00 AM. This exercise is an opportunity for first responders throughout Pickens County to train together on active threat and mass casualty response. The training will involve structured scenarios to allow first responders to hone their skills in relation to crisis response, planning, and multi-agency interoperability to ensure a coordinated, timely, and effective response in the event of an actual incident.

The exercise will occur from 8:00 AM until around 4:00 PM on March 13th, 2023, on the D.W. Daniel High School Campus at 140 Blue and Gold Blvd. in Central, South Carolina.
There will be significant law enforcement, fire, and emergency services presence during these exercises. To avoid any confusion, the public is being notified ahead of time. These exercises will be closed to the community and general public.

Agencies participating in the exercise include the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, Pickens County Emergency Management, Pickens County Fire/Rescue, Pickens County EMS, Pickens County Coroner’s Office, Pickens County School District, Easley Police Department, Clemson Police Department, Liberty Police Department, Central Police Department, Pickens Police Department, and Clemson University Police Department.
