Legislators unveil Initiative to affect SC Public Employees

State lawmakers are meeting to talk about a bipartisan initiative they say will affect all public employees in South Carolina. The Associated Press reports that State Senators John Courson and Darrell Jackson hold a news conference Thursday at the Statehouse. Both senators represent the Columbia area and are members of the Senate’s finance committee. Courson is a Republican and Jackson is a Democrat. Several others, including Carlton Washington, executive director of the South Carolina State Employees Association, are to join them at the news conference.
