Limited Public Access to County Facilities Begins Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020

To protect the health and well-being of citizens and staff, and to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, Oconee County Government, effective today, December 3rd, will restrict public access for all County facilities. At least a dozen county employees have tested positive for COVID-19 since November 23 – less than two weeks ago.

  • All tax payments will be accepted via the drive through at the Oconee County Administrative Office, over the telephone, online and by mail.
  • Citizens may access the Register of Deeds Office and Probate Court from
    10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • All other offices are closed to public access at this time.
  • Building permits and payment assistance are available online and by phone.
  • All employees and visitors are required to wear face coverings while inside, or in close proximity to, any County facility with an exception for those who cannot wear a face covering due to a medical or behavioral condition, or religious beliefs.
