Lions Club selects Poster Contest Winners

The Seneca and Westminster Lions Clubs recently announced winners of the Lions International Poster Contest.  This year the theme was imagine peace and students were invited to draw a poster and write an essay on what that means to them.  Lion Jim Atkinson once again served as chair of the International Poster Contest.  “The winners who got their awards Tuesday night were Paul Wilson from West-Oak Middle School and Dakota Morrow from Seneca Middle School.” The first place winners received an achievement award, a $100 check and an outfit of their choosing from Belk.  They now advance to the District competition.  Lisa Kiser from the Blue Ridge Arts Council judged this year’s competition.  The posters can now be seen at the Blue Ridge Arts Gallery and later they will be displayed at Circa 1930 on Ram Cat Alley in downtown Seneca.
