Local Churches hosting Emergency Christmas

Two local churches collaborate to educate the community about emergency first responders and the services they provide. Saint Mark United Methodist Church and Trinity Baptist Church present an Emergency Christmas on Dec. 14 at 6pm. The local emergency response teams from the Seneca Fire Department and Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will display their vehicles and teach safety lessons to kids and their parents. Santa and his elves are scheduled to make an appearance. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies at the event that will also be collecting donations for the United Way of Oconee County. This Dec. 14 event is free and the local community is encouraged to attend the 6pm Emergency Christmas celebration at both Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 616 Quincy Road in Seneca and Trinity Baptist Church, 504 South Oak Street in Seneca.
