Lot E-21 Closed at Clemson for Construction Project

Clemson University’s E-21 parking lot is now closed for the construction of a $68.3 million Forestry and Environmental Conservation Building. Employee parking has been moved to the Brooks Center lots. The new 77,000-square foot building, approved by the Board of Trustees in 2022, will be located near the Godley-Snell Research Center and is expected to be completed by early 2026. The building will house teaching and research labs, offices, classrooms, and collaboration spaces. Its design features a mass timber structure and a garden courtyard that serves as an educational tool. Over 130 new trees will be planted as part of the landscaping plan. The project aims to replace the energy-inefficient Lehotsky Hall, built in 1974. While the hall will be vacated, it will remain in use by the university. Additionally, a $4.9 million infrastructure renovation project was approved to upgrade utilities and support future growth, including the new building.
