Lunch Prices announced for 2014-15 School Year in OC

Oconee County Schools announces its participation in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program for the 2014-2015 school year. All registered students in the School District of Oconee County are eligible to participate in the programs, which are awarded benefits based on family size and income. A completed application for the 2014-2015 school year must be returned to your child’s school or the Food Service office to apply for Free or Reduced benefits. It is important to note that all who do not apply for this school year will pay full price. Any child eligible for a free lunch is also eligible for a free breakfast. Any child eligible for a reduced priced lunch is also eligible for a reduced priced breakfast. Eligibility determinations are made on a household basis; that is, all children in the same household attending schools under the jurisdiction of the same school district are to receive the same benefits, with the exception of certain situations and depending upon the programs operating in the individual schools. Applications are available online at www.heartlandapps.com. Questions about the SDOC school lunch and breakfast program may be directed to Nancy Ratliff, Food Services at 864-886-4400 ext. 6178. Foster children and Food Stamp, TANF, or FDPIR recipients are eligible for free meal benefits, but still must fill out an application each year to receive benefits unless you are notified otherwise.
