Make Mindful Resolutions

As 2014 winds down, many will make resolutions to live healthier or wiser in 2015. Health Coach Ellen Hotz encourages people to think before they make resolutions. “The biggest thing is that people don’t really think before they make them. If they really want to make a difference this year, try to make it the year of the mindful resolution. A thinking resolution or a thoughtful resolution, one that you really understand why you are making it and you have a goal for that reason. In other words, not just to loose weight but I want to loose weight because I don’t want to have back pain every time I wake up in the morning or I want to loose weight because I want to be able to play with my grandchildren or I want to loose weight because I want to live past the age of 50. A serious, measurable and attainable goal and keep that in front of you. Every day keep it in front of you for the longest time because it takes a very long time to change.” Share your goal with family and friends, so they can help motivate you towards your New Year’s resolution.
