Man Charged with DUI Following Crash with Ambulance

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a Wednesday night crash that happened at about 6:30 pm at East North 1st Street and US Hwy 123. Reports stated that a Prisma Ambulance was transporting a critical patient when it collided with a passenger car at the intersection.

That lone passenger and the ambulance crew sustained only minor injuries, and a medical helicopter arrived at the scene to continue transporting the critical patient who was in the ambulance.

According to jail records, the car’s driver, identified as 43 year-old Christopher Alan Glover of Seneca, was charged by State Troopers with DUI, Driving without a license and an open container violation.

He was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a $1,482 personal recognizance bond .
