Man Charged with Trafficking Meth Arrested and is Out on Bond

A traffic stop conducted Friday morning in southern Oconee County led to the arrest of 56 year old Johnny Albert Roach, who has addresses of both Long Creek and Fair Play, on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

While on extra patrol, a deputy observed a moped commit a traffic violation while turning onto Shelor Ferry Road. After observing that the moped did not have a license plate, the deputy executed a traffic stop on N. Davis Drive and made contact with the driver, identified as Roach, and the passenger of the moped. After receiving consent to search, the deputy discovered 29.8 grams of Methamphetamine.

He was released from custody after posting $50,000 bond, according to jail records.
