March for Babies continues

A few months remain in the March of Dimes annual fundraiser and after Saturday’s March for Babies in downtown Seneca, Oconee County is nearing this year’s goal, says Grant Nicholson, chair of Oconee County March of Dimes. “The March for Babies this year was a great event, it was a little wet and rainy outside Saturday morning but we had a great turnout for the walk. Fundraising this year is going really well, we were able to bring on quit a few new sponsors, which was great for the March of Dimes. Oconee County is currently sitting at $69,468 raised with more to come through the end of the campaign.” The mission of the March of Dimes is that every baby be born healthy. Nicholson tells how to make a donation. “To make a donation, folks can visit www.MarchofDimes.org and either select a team from Oconee County or make a personal donation themselves.” The goal this year for the Oconee County March of Dimes is $100,000.
