March Membership Madness at OHC

As college basketball fans descend into March Madness later this month, the Oconee Heritage Center is encouraging madness in the form of membership, explains curator and director Leslie White. “Everybody knows about the normal March Madness with the basketball tournament, but we wanted to have our own March Madness. We have been trying to have more small fundraisers throughout the year starting this year and so this is for March. We really want to encourage this month, not just as a fundraiser, but because membership is a great way to get involved in the Oconee Heritage Center on a regular basis. It is affordable, membership for an individual is $20 and for a family it is $30 that is for a rolling calendar year. It gets you discounts on events that we do that have a fee, like our annual fundraiser gala. It keeps you in the loop on everything that we are doing and also it puts you in the pool for leadership if you are interested in a leadership position on our Board of Directors and things like that.” Membership provides year-round support for the Oconee Heritage Center’s mission of preserving the history and heritage of Oconee County. The person who refers the most people to become members wins a prize package. To learn more, visit www.oconeeheritagecenter.org.
