Mayor comments on Hammond Case

In front of Zachary Hammond’s parents, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander gave the city’s first public comment on the July 26 fatal shooting. “The family was there last night and Mrs. Hammond got up and spoke. There were a couple of people that actually spoke last night at our meeting. After that, I made a few statements that our thoughts and prayers went out to them and their family. Everybody that has been involved in this over the last six weeks, our hearts and prayers go out to them because we know it is extremely hard for lots of people.” In her comments to the mayor and council, Angie Hammond appealed for the city to push for the release of both audio and visual recordings of what happened in the parking lot of the Hardee’s on July 26 when her son Zachary was shot and killed during a drug sting.
