Meet CIA Agent from Argo at Walhalla Library

The book Argo: How the CIA and Hollywood pulled off the Most Audacious Rescue in History, describes the rescue of six Americans during the 1979 take-over of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran by Iranian mobs. This rescue was engineered by the CIA’s Technical Services Division. Come meet Carlos Luria, who was its Executive Officer at the time, and hear the story behind the rescue which is every bit as interesting as the operation itself. The presentation, including some film footage along with a question and answer session, will take place on January 24th at 2pm at the Walhalla Library.
