Members of Congress make Wager on Big Game

A member of Congress in South Carolina and Alabama struck a friendly wager as to which team wins the College Football Playoff National Championship. South Carolina 3rd District Congressman Jeff Duncan and Alabama’s 7th District Congresswoman Terri Sewell announced the wager this week ahead of Monday night’s game. If Clemson wins, Sewell has agreed to treat Duncan’s office to ribs from the famous Dreamland BBQ in Tuscaloosa and will pose for a picture on the U.S. Capitol steps dressed in Clemson apparel. If Alabama wins, Duncan has agreed to wear the trademark Bear Bryant hounds-tooth hat and an Alabama necktie for a photo on the steps of the U.S. Capitol as well as provide South Carolina barbecue for Sewell and her staff.
