Multiple Charges filed against Salem Man

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against a Salem man who was arrested last week, explains Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “32-year-old William Joel Sellers of 649 North Lake Road in Salem was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on charges of third-degree burglary and petit larceny in relation to a break-in of a building and a theft of a pressure washer and tools from a separate address on North Lake Road which occurred sometime between Aug. 29 and Sept. 7. Sellers was arrested during a traffic stop on Whitewater Falls Road and McGee Road on the two warrants related to the break-in and theft. The vehicle that Sellers was in was towed and inventoried. During the inventory, a quantity of meth and some prescription drugs were found in a silver container that was located between the driver’s seat and the center console of the vehicle. Additionally, prescription medication was found on Sellers person as well.” Warrants charge Sellers with possession of methamphetamine, as well as possession of a quantity of Hydrocodone and Xanax.
