Multiple Teens Arrested by Easley Police

Easley Police said they arrested multiple individuals last week on several charges including attempted murder. Following an initial investigation that began at Preston Street and Ross Avenue when shots were fired on Wednesday, February 16 around 5:00pm, police said they interviewed several witnesses and found numerous shell casings.

Officers added that they learned that three vehicles were involved in the incident, occupied by many people between the ages of 15 and 17.

Charges against those young, unnamed defendants include attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, discharging of a firearm within the city, false information to police, unlawful carrying of a firearm, pointing and presenting a firearm, and discharging a weapon at or into a structure or dwelling.

Police said no injuries were reported due to the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
