National Association Of Letter Carriers Announces Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Set For Tomorrow

(Seneca, SC)——–The National Association of Letter Carriers will conduct its 27th annual nationwide Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive tomorrow, Saturday, May 11th, with the help of sponsors, volunteer organizations and postal workers. Stamp Out Hunger is the nation’s largest single day food drive.

Customers should leave their non-perishable food donations in a bag near your mailboxes tomorrow. Or, if you received a special bag this week when you picked up your mail, you can put your food donations in those bags.

Food collected during Saturday’s drive will be delivered to local community churches, food banks and food pantries for distribution.

Among the most wanted food items, those include canned meats, such as tuna, chicken, salmon; canned and boxed meals, such as soup, chili, stew and macaroni and cheese; canned or dried beans and peas, pasta and rice cereal and canned fruits and vegetables.
