NC Man Arrested in Oconee County For Alleged Sex Crime

A Candler, NC man was arrested Monday morning by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.

41 year old Adam Robert Cabe was booked into jail after turning himself in at the Law Enforcement Center. At this time, Cabe remains in jail after bond was denied.

Back in October a relative of the victim told deputies that inappropriate touching allegedly took place between Cabe and the victim, who is a child under the age of 11, in August of last year at High Falls Campground on Lake Keowee. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
