New Director of SDOC Special Education Services

Robin Cox, the current director of elementary special education, will become the new director of special education services for the School District of Oconee County. She will replace Marge Bright at the end of the school year. Cox has served in various roles within the district and holds degrees in special education, education, and administration and supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. The change comes as Bright plans to return to the classroom as a speech-language pathologist for the 2024-25 school year. Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland expressed confidence in Cox’s ability to continue the department’s work.
