New Pay Scale for Bus Drivers and Custodians in SDOC

In an effort to recruit and retain custodians and bus drivers in the School District of Oconee County (SDOC), a new pay scale has be instituted, explains Oconee County Schools Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Earnestine Williams. “We are very excited to be able to offer a little pay incentive to our custodians and bus drivers. The custodians, the lowest pay scale for them on the old salary was from $8.38 to $12.84 now that salary will be $9.40 up to $14.66. For bus drivers, their pay according to the pay scale last year was $9.64 to $14.85 and now that salary will be $11.64 up to $17. So, we are very excited and we still have vacancies, so we are just hoping this will help us get more folks interested in serving as a custodian or bus driver. They are big help to our schools in cleaning our schools and then getting our students to school via transportation.” To apply for a custodian or bus driver position in the SDOC, visit their website at www.oconee.k12.sc.us or call 864-886-4400.
