New Poll shows SC OK with Medical Marijuana
A new poll suggests that adults in South Carolina are OK with doctors prescribing marijuana to be smoked for medical reasons. A Winthrop Poll of 877 adults living in the Palmetto State released today, shows that 71.6% of those polled said they should, while 66.7% of registered voters said yes. However, 6 in 10 polled said they oppose the legalization of marijuana for personal use. The Winthrop Poll used a sample of the general population, almost evenly divided between male and female, almost half over 40 years old and predominantly white.
