Ninth Operation Infinity Drug Sweep conducted in OC

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office along with all five municipal police departments in the county, Salem, Seneca, Walhalla, Westminster and West Union as well as the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, participated in a countywide drug roundup that began today. The ninth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep began with a briefing at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla at 8:30am. Officers had warrants on 41 individuals on a variety of drug charges. As of 4pm today, 18 subjects had either been arrested or served with warrants related to the drug roundup. “Today’s drug roundup demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement in the county to remove drugs from our communities and cities,” said Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “All the law enforcement agencies in the county have worked together previously on drug operations in the county and we certainly do appreciate their participation in this ninth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep. We are working to make Oconee County a safe place for our citizens to live, work and play.”
