NORTH CAROLINA ESCAPEE HAS OCONEE TIES

A 47-year old prison inmate, with ties to Oconee County, escaped yesterday from a correctional facility in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw this morning confirmed that his office has received information about the escape of Kevin B. Adams. According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Adams is a minimum custody offender who was reported missing from his work release yesterday afternoon. He was last seen in Lenoir, North Carolina. Adams stands 6’ 4”, weighs about 200 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes. He is serving a 3 year, 9-month term for obtaining property under false pretenses, having been convicted in Polk County, North Carolina. He was scheduled to be released March 19.
