OC Chamber launches search for New Director
The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce has launched a search for a new director following the resignation of Sandra Jones, who has served as director for the past two years. Julian Davis, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors gives details. “Sandra has done a tremendous job, in partnership with the Board of Directors, in taking the Oconee County Chamber to new heights in terms of membership and programs. We have a strong Board of Directors that will continue to move the Chamber forward as we search for a new director. Our Board of Directors is made up of business leaders from across the county who are committed to strengthening the local business climate and delivering value to our members. The Board will conduct a thorough search for the best director to help us achieve our goals.” Jones is leaving the Chamber at the end of the year to become general manager of the Foxwood Hills community. A resident of Chickasaw Point, she served two years as Chamber director. During that time, the Chamber increased its membership to more than 360 businesses.
