OC Chamber presents Spotlight Awards

The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce announces the winners for The Spotlight Business Awards. The awards were announced at last night’s Annual Chamber Meeting and Business Awards dinner, Spotlight Oconee. The winners were selected from the results of more than 1300 votes cast from April 28 through May 9. All of the winners demonstrate exceptional business practices in areas including innovative practices, community involvement, employee development, and customer service. Oconee County Chamber executive director Jillian Lusk gives details. “The Chamber is proud to honor these outstanding businesses and individuals for their contributions to the betterment of Oconee County.  They represent the creativity, the determination, and the heart of Oconee County.  Businesses in Oconee County have had to work twice as hard to recover from our national recession. Our Spotlight Award Winners are some of the top businesses in the region, they have shown us that determination and passion can lead to great community impact.” The Chamber is proud to announce the following businesses and individuals as our 2014 Spotlight Oconee Award Winners: Hall of Fame: Bill & Phyllis Thraves, Business Innovator: YoGo Express, Green Business: Chattooga Belle Farms, Education First: Dave Eldridge of the Tri-County Entrepreneurial Development Center, Best Place to Work: Oconee Medical Center, Community Service: Core 24 Gym, Rising Star Award: Tejal and Mehul Patel of Days Inn of Seneca, and Small Business of the Year: Sole Bar & Grill.
