OC Council prioritizes Capital Project List

If Oconee County voters approve a one-cent capital sales tax referendum in November than a new Seneca Library is to be the first project.  At their meeting Tuesday night, the Oconee County Council prioritized the list of projects to be funded by the tax.  Council gave second priority to a waterline in the Salem area as part of Northern Economic Development.  An indoor recreation and aquatic center came in third followed by a Foothills Agriculture Resource Center.  Ten projects have been outlined by the Oconee County Council if the referendum is passed. The priority rankings are considered important in the event the sales tax generates less money than anticipated.
