OC Job Fair set for Aug. 31

The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce and the Oconee Economic Alliance (OEA) will present a Job Fair on Aug. 31, 2017. This will be a great opportunity for businesses and jobseekers alike, says OEA Executive Director Richard Blackwell. “We don’t have a jobs issue, we’ve got really an awareness and skills issue, so we are partnering with 94.1 The Lake and the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce to host this Job Fair on Aug. 31. We want to make sure that anyone that is looking for a job come to this event because there is going to be big industry there that have jobs available. The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is going to hit their membership and anyone that is a small business is welcome to attend because the whole idea behind this is if a company has a job available we want them to come and participate in this event, make it known that they’re hiring, take resumes, take applications, maybe even put them through an interview process because the whole goal is to get people into these jobs.” If you’re looking for qualified employees and are interested in participating as a vendor, contact 94.1 The Lake, WSNW General Manager Brandon Kessler at [email protected] or 864-882-9769.
