OC records over inch of Snow

Over an inch of snow fell in Oconee County between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson reports that at her station in Walhalla, she recorded 1.5 inches. “It was snow and as of 7am we had one inch. That melted to .8 of an inch and then by 10am it was at 1.5 inches total from the beginning. So, right now at Walhalla we have 1.5 inches of snow.” Wilson and her family have served Oconee County as the Official U.S. Weather Observers for the last 99 years.
