OC Schools rank 34th on State Report Cards

Public schools in Oconee County improved according to newly released report card ratings for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, commonly known as No Child Left Behind. The School District of Oconee County’s rating improved from 48th in the state last year to 34th this year. Oconee County’s elementary school rating increased; however, both the ratings for the middle and high schools decreased. School Districts are graded on subjects including math, English, science and social studies for all grade levels. Overall, the School District of Oconee County received a B; Pickens County also received a B. In Anderson County, Districts 1, 2 and 3 received As while Districts 4 and 5 received Bs.
