OC Sheriff investigating Larceny and Arson Case

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in an investigation into a recent arson and larceny case near Seneca. According to investigators, the incident occurred Wednesday morning just after 6:30am in the 100 block of Ashley Lane, which is near Reedy Fork Baptist Church.  Deputies responded to a report of a motor home fire after a passerby called dispatchers to report the fire.  Firefighters put out the fire, but not before about two-thirds of the contents were consumed.  Investigators later found that the contents of oil can had been poured all over the interior of the vehicle and that the rear bedding area had been set on fire.  Investigators also found that three TV’s and a stereo system were also taken from the motor home. The three television’s that were stolen were a Vizio 42” TV, valued at $500, and 2 26” Vizio TV’s valued at $300 each.  The stereo system that was reportedly stolen was valued at $300 as well.
