OC Sheriff’s Deputies seize Wanted Suspect

Deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seized a wanted suspect on Tuesday.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt talks about the arrest of 34-year-old Ronnie Joe Patterson, Jr. on multiple charges.  “According to investigators, deputies acting on an anonymous tip responded to a house at 120 Curtis Drive off Keowee School Road at around 2:31pm.  After arriving on the property, Patterson reportedly hid under a camper at the location.  Patterson was taken into custody around 2:34pm and was booked at the Oconee County Detention Center.  Patterson had three outstanding warrants: one for a sex offender registry violation for failure to register in the first offense, one for an uninsured motor vehicle violation, and one for driving under suspension.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release concerning an earlier attempt to apprehend Patterson at the same address on May 16 after he fled from deputies.
